Your AI agents, perched in the notch.

Perch puts Claude, Codex and Grok Bot in your MacBook's notch. Reply to running sessions, start new ones and see what's working, without switching apps.

Download for Mac

Free. Version 1.0.0 for macOS 26 Tahoe or later, on Apple silicon and Intel.

Sign in with the accounts you already have.

No API keys to copy around. Perch uses each provider's own sign-in page, then works with the sessions already on your Mac. It never sees your passwords.

  • Claude

Sign in with your Claude account through Claude Code. Your Claude Code sessions show up in the notch.

    Claude account sign-in
  • Codex

Sign in with your ChatGPT account through the Codex CLI, and pick up any Codex session where you left it.

    ChatGPT account sign-in
  • Grok Bot

Connects through the Grok Bot app on your Mac, so you can message your Bots right from the notch.

Missing a command-line tool? Perch installs it for you. Prefer API keys? Those work too, and stay in your Mac's Keychain.

Everything, one hover away.

Reply without switching apps
Open any running or recent session, read where it left off and send the next message.
Start new sessions
Type a task and press Return. Perch starts a new session with the agent you picked.
See who's working
Working agents appear in the notch, with a ring showing how full each session's context is. Compact it in one click.
Always visible, or only on hover
Keep your agents in view, or leave the notch clean until you reach for it.
Switch agents from one icon
Click the bot icon to move between Claude, Codex and Grok Bot, each with its own sessions.
Works on every display
On monitors without a notch, Perch becomes a small pill you can drag anywhere, even onto another screen.

Your sessions stay on your Mac.

Perch reads your agents' sessions locally and talks to each provider directly from your Mac. Your conversations never pass through our servers. A free Perch account syncs only your notch and display preferences.

Install Perch.

  1. Download Perch

Open the downloaded disk image and drag Perch into your Applications folder.

  2. Open it the first time

Perch isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS asks first. Open Perch, choose Done, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security and click Open Anyway. You only do this once.

  3. Create your free account

Your account keeps your notch settings in sync across your Macs.

  4. Connect your agents

Sign in to Claude, Codex or Grok Bot. Then move your pointer to the notch, or press Control-Option-Space.

Questions.

Is Perch free?

Yes. Perch is free to download and use. You use your own Claude, ChatGPT or Grok plan with it.

Do I need Claude Code or the Codex CLI?

For Claude and Codex, yes: Perch works with the sessions they create on your Mac. If you don't have them, Perch offers to install them for you. You can also use an API key instead.

Which Macs does Perch run on?

Any Mac with macOS 26 Tahoe or later, Apple silicon or Intel. On Macs and monitors without a notch, Perch shows a small pill instead.

How does Grok Bot work with Perch?

Perch reads your Bots and their latest messages from the Grok Bot app's window and types your messages into it, so keep Grok Bot open in the background. It needs Accessibility permission, and never reads Grok Bot's stored data.

Can Perch see my conversations?

Only on your Mac. Sessions are read locally and sent straight to the provider you're using. Nothing you type passes through Perch's servers.

How do updates work?

Perch checks for a new version once a day and asks before installing it.

Is Perch made by Anthropic, OpenAI or xAI?

No. Perch is an independent app that works with their tools.
