Terms of Use
Last updated October 6, 2026
These terms apply to the Perch app and this website. "Perch", "we" and "us" mean the makers of Perch. By using Perch you agree to them.
Using Perch
Perch is free. You may use it for personal or work purposes. Don't misuse it: don't try to break, overload or reverse engineer our account service, and don't use Perch to break the law or anyone else's rules.
Your account
Keep your password safe; you're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
Other services
Perch works with tools and services from other companies, including Claude and Claude Code (Anthropic), Codex and ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Grok and Grok Bot (xAI). Your use of those services is governed by their terms and plans, and you're responsible for following them, including any limits on automating their apps. Perch is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.
Your agents' actions
Messages you send through Perch go to AI agents that can read and change files on your Mac, depending on the permissions you choose. You're responsible for what you ask them to do and for reviewing their work.
No warranty
Perch is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, or keep working with every version of other companies' tools.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Perch. Our total liability is limited to US$50.
Changes
We may update Perch and these terms. If the terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use Perch means you accept the new terms.
